Pit Bull Rescue Sacramento – Sacramento firefighters rescued a toddler covered in plastic and with his fur from a trash fire Tuesday.

The captain on the scene knew the pup needed a good friend and called Mike Tawley at Station 19.

Front Street Animal Shelter will find him a forever home, and Thawle is fostering the pup. The puppy is already making himself comfortable.

“When we gave him water, bath, food, he started picking up some of the plastic, and then yesterday he started coming out, wagging his tail and chewing on us,” Tolley said.

This isn’t the first time Tauley has adopted a dog rescued by firefighters. Five years ago, he picked up an abandoned pit bull chained to a fence in Chunk.

Thawle is an advocate of pit bulls. She said she immediately knew the dog was in the house. And that’s where it’s been ever since. He recorded his journey on social media.

“We had over 30 million people following Chunk,” Tolley said. “Front Street Donations, Bully Rescue Donations, Chunk Had a Two-Page Article in Women’s World and a PETA Award.”

Tauli said it was a shame that someone would leave their puppy in such poor condition. But she said she hopes the rescue tells the story of how people can help save and shelter more animals. Gill continues to choose life over death and we are with him every step of the way, he never gave up and neither will we.

We’re told Gilligan’s medical bills aren’t small, but those of you who know him know they’re more than worth it.

I am very sweet despite my pain, and I am probably one of the most forgiving people you will ever meet!

I will need a family that respects my past and won’t push if/when I become available for adoption.

Seven+ Rescue Dogs On Misfit Farm Living The Good Life!

This poor boy (“Skipper”) was rushed to an emergency doctor in Fresno last night after staying in an abandoned house as long as possible. Pay attention, but he is so cute and deserves it!

We’re going to pick him up today (stay tuned for a Facebook Live video this afternoon!) and get him into our program so he can get better. Almost everything on the rescue, it was unplanned and our parenting is full on, but we saw him and knew he needed help, so we had to figure something out.

This is where you come in: We need pagers! Skipper is going into temporary foster care to rehabilitate so we can assess his temperament and give him time to open up. Once he’s ready we’ll need a permanent foster, and now we’re ready to move into the “permanent” temporary digs to make room for him and the other dogs and puppies as they go to their forever homes. looking for .

The captain’s medical expenses are likely to be high as we still do not fully know what we are dealing with. To donate to her future care, please click on the “Where” link at the top of our page.

Thank you to Lupe, Stephanie, Fresno Bully Rescue and Fresno Humane Animal Services for working together to help acquire this adorable street rescue and bring him to us! Gilligan, the captain, is currently on his way to a temporary foster carer where he will be burned and fattened up until he is ready to find his forever home.

The skipper is now Gil aka Gilligan, the light of our lives… He is the kindest, most forgiving, loving soul and we are blessed to be with him.

Our sweet boy is great!!! For a dog that has been chained, starved and left to die for at least 6 months, we fully understand and acknowledge any behavioral challenges. We thought he was going to have a food attack… but guess what?!? He is amazing!! He gets along with everyone. He shares everything. It couldn’t be more perfect!!!

How to do this is beyond us. He’s gaining weight and has won over all the dogs in the house – he licks his mouth at every opportunity, telling Cosmo “I’m not a threatening friend, you’re the boss”! Gill, you are truly one of a kind and we are so grateful you brought us here. You make life a little easier in this world just by being yourself….❤️ ❤️

Unfortunately, Gill seems to have some serious issues with his leg, but we won’t know the full extent of the situation until he’s healthy enough to watch – which should be soon! For now, he enjoys laying on the couch and cuddling with the other 4 dogs.

This video was taken last week, Gilligan has been seen by our doctor since this video and they have taken about 100 x-rays, not hundreds actually. The prognosis is not good. He alleged that Gilligan was used as bait or attacked several times by another dog. He has significant wounds showing puncture wounds, namely a single puncture on his right foot, and x-rays that show he is now walking around, having previously recovered but chained and weighed down. is less , very swollen and very mobile, hence lame☹ Other X-rays reveal additional damage such as compressed vertebrae, as well as previous trauma; He has severe arthritis in all his joints, but his elbow is the worst, we can see it in the picture. Our doctor doesn’t think it’s the spinal cord that’s causing her leg cramps. He believes it has a neurological component. The next step is to get the radiologists report to confirm the prognosis and our next steps. We have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon scheduled for January 19th to determine what operations are needed, if any. Finally, a referral to a neurologist for an MRI to see why his legs are weakening and if it is progressive in any way.

Hi guys!! My foster mom mentioned the other day that we haven’t checked in with everyone in a while, so it’s about time we did! Well, I’m doing great! I love rainy days now because I prefer to stay inside instead of being tied outside without shelter, food or water….According to my mother, some bad people did not treat me well and I almost starved. went
